Kampala, Uganda | THE INDEPENDENT | A twelve- year old Indian girl, Suchetha Satish, who lives in Dubai, recently shattered two Guinness World Records at the same time by singing songs in 102 different languages during an impressive concert that lasted six hours and 15 minutes.
Suchetha, who is in seventh grade, started preparing for the world record feat almost a year ago. She was already singing in several Indian languages like Hindi, Malayalam and Tamil, as well as English although she says she was always fascinated by foreign languages.
To her, this was an opportunity to learn as many languages as possible to enable her “leave her mark on the world.
” On Jan. 25, this year, Suchetha stunned her audience at the Indian Consulate in Dubai by singing in a whopping 102 languages for sixand- quarter hours.
