Soroti, Uganda | THE INDEPENDENT | A total of 440 market vendors who accepted to remain sleeping in their stalls in Soroti city have received mosquito nets.
The nets were delivered by the ministry of health on Saturday.
Robert Adyama Ekaju, the Soroti Resident City Commissioner flagged off the distribution of the nets to market venders on Saturday. He hailed the vendors for obeying the presidential directives on COVID-19 preventive measures.
He said there were 520 market vendors registered to receive the nets, but others were not available during the time of distribution. “We have kept some of the nets for those who didn’t turn up but registered,” he said.
According to Adyama, each bail has 40 mosquito nets and warned vendors against misusing the nets.
