The list of artists expected to perform reads like a ‘who is who’ on Uganda’s music scene: Qwella, Benon Mugumbya, Samuel Ibanda, Pragmo, Zivu Culture, Suzan Kerunen, Ssali Muserebende, Tshilla, and Soul Beat Africa.
Others scheduled to perform are Karim Saava, Jackie Akello, Acaye Pamela, Irene Ntale, Joel Sebunjo, Anique, Myko Ouma, Winston Mukasa, Harry Lwanga, and Fr. Ssenfuma.
The event dubbed ‘Pearl Rhythm Festival’ is scheduled to start at 12PM and will go on until 10PM and will be a family day out as music, food, drinks and some selected crafts and art work will be available, according to a statement from Alliance Française.
The Pearl Rhythm Festival is being organized by Ugandan musicians aiming to strengthen the local independent music scene in Uganda and to promote the concept of collaborative working across the creative industry.
