Kampala, Uganda | XINHUA | Real Madrid winger Eden Hazard has suffered another muscle injury and is unlikely to play for the club before the middle of October.
Real Madrid confirmed with a communique on their official website on Wednesday that the Belgian international has suffered “a muscle injury in his right leg.”
Although the club offered no further explanation, merely stating the injury was “pending evolution,” it means that Hazard (who didn’t play in Madrid’s first two matches of the new season) drops out of the squad to face Valladolid in the Alfredo Di Stefano this Wednesday night and makes him a major doubt for the weekend’s away trip to play Levante.
With the international break around the corner, that means the next time Hazard has a chance of playing would be in Madrid’s home game at home to Cadiz on October 18th.
The Belgian, who arrived from Chelsea for around 100 million euros in the summer of 2019, has struggled with a range of injuries since his arrival and taken part in just 22 games from a possible 53 since joining from Chelsea.
