Army in third reshuffle in two months

The chieftaincy of Personnel and Administration of the army on Mar. 04 announced new reshuffles where President Museveni moved officials including former Spokesperson Lt Col Paddy Ankunda who was dropped in the previous reshuffle. Ankunda is now the Director Strategic Communication in the Chieftaincy of Military Intelligence (CMI), a slot that was occupied by Lt Col Deo Akiiki. Among the 16 moved include Lt Col Ddamulira from Operation Wealth Creation (OWC) to Deputy CMI in charge of CounterTerrorism, Col James Kaija from OWC to Deputy CMI boss in charge of Defense Engagement and Col Michael Kibuye from Chieftaincy of Mubende Rehabilitation Centre to Deputy CMI boss.

Others include Lt Col Temple Asiimwe from CMI to Deputy Director of Protocol, Maj Gen Francis Okello, the former commander of Uganda Rapid Deployment Capability Centre in Jinja and attached to African Union has been sent to the office of Joint Chief of Staff.  Brig Geoffrey Goloba, the commandant of Junior Staff (Gadaffi) has been sent to Moscow as a Military Adviser to replace Brig Paul Lokech, the recently appointed Second Division Commander in Mbarara.

This was the third reshuffle in just two months where in the previous one Gen. Katumba Wamala was dropped and replaced by Gen. DavidMuhoozi as Chief of Defence  Forces.
