Besigye to report in one court for his treason case and bail extention

Nakawa Chief Magistrate’s court has extended the bail of former presidential candidate Dr.Kiiza Besigye in his treason case, to April 28, 2017.

Kampala High Court Head of the Criminal Division Justice Wilson Kwesiga has ordered that Besigye reports for extension of his  bail  before the same court  currently handling his treason case.

Justice  Kwesiga reached the decision after Beisgye petitioned him last month complaining of the expenses and time  he spends making appearances in two courts over a similar case.

Besigye therefore appeared before Grade One magistrate Noah Sajjabi  instead of the High Court Deputy registrar, for extension of his bail.

Magistrate Sajjabi also mentioned Besigye’s treason case and ordered him to report back on April 28, 2017 after prosecution’s Ann Ntimba reported that investigations are still on-going.
