Nairobi, Kenya | THE INDEPENDENT | Media reports from Kenya indicate that the Chief of Defence Forces Francis Ogolla has been killed in a helicopter crash. Ogolla was on chopper he was travelling in alongside other army officials that crashed in Kaben, Marakwet East on Thursday.
President William Ruto convened an urgent meeting of the National Security Council at State House Nairobi, after which he announced an air-crash investigation, and three days of national mourning.
