Burnley seeks to make it five visits unbeaten at Old Trafford

Kampala, Uganda | THE INDEPENDENT | Match preview: Man Utd v Burnley

Manchester United can equal Newcastle United’s 2001/02 Premier League record of coming from behind to win 10 matches in a season.

Man Utd’s Mason Greenwood has scored in each of his last two PL appearances, having netted in just one of his first 23 outings this season. The 19-year-old has scored 13 PL goals in total, with only Wayne Rooney (15) scoring more as a teenager for the Red Devils in the competition.

Burnley can be only the second team in PL history to avoid defeat in five consecutive trips to Man Utd, after Chelsea did so six times between 1994 and 1998.

Chris Wood can become the sixth player to score in three consecutive PL trips to Old Trafford, after Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink (2001), Mark Viduka (2007), Emmanuel Adebayor (2014), Sergio Aguero (2015) and Gylfi Sigurdsson (2017).

Team news

Marcus Rashford (foot) continues to be assessed for Manchester United, while Eric Bailly could be in contention to return against Burnley.

Anthony Martial (knee) is unavailable although Luke Shaw, Harry Maguire and Scott McTominay are back having missed the UEFA Europa League win against Granada through suspension.

Nick Pope (shoulder) and Dwight McNeil (knock) are doubts for Burnley, who have Robbie Brady (Achilles), Ashley Barnes (thigh) and Kevin Long (knock) ruled out of the Old Trafford trip.
