Kampala, Uganda | THE INDEPENDENT | CFAO Mobility Uganda has unveiled the latest addition to the Toyota Land Cruiser family, the All-New Land Cruiser Prado “250 series”.
According to a statment from CFAO, “This model, which marks a significant milestone in the evolution of the iconic Land Cruiser, is designed to uphold the timeless values of robustness and reliability.”
Since its inception in 1951, the Land Cruiser has been a symbol of Toyota’s global presence.
Renowned for its unrivaled reliability, durability, and off-road driving performance, officials say each Land Cruiser model has been meticulously crafted to tackle the toughest terrains with ease, shaping its legendary status. With over 11.3 million units sold across 170 countries, the Land Cruiser remains one of Toyota’s best-selling models globally.

The All-New Land Cruiser Prado for the Uganda market comes with a formidable 2.8-litre turbo-diesel that delivers an impressive 150 kW of power (204 HP) and 500 Nm of torque. This powerful engine is paired with the new 8-speed automatic gearbox for an optimum balance between performance and fuel consumption. Safety features include curtain shield airbags for all passengers, Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), and Downhill Assist Control (DAC), among others, all aimed at providing a secure driving experience under any circumstances.
One of the major innovations in the new Land Cruiser Prado is its Electric Power Steering (EPS) system.
To celebrate the launch in Uganda, a very limited number of Land Cruiser Prado First Edition vehicles have been made available by CFAO. This limited-edition version of the Land Cruiser Prado features retro-inspired circular headlights and exclusive First Edition badging that are only available on this version of the Land Cruiser Prado.
The All-New Land Cruiser Prado comes with the standard three-year manufacturer warranty and a launch offer of complimentary service for 5 years or 100,000km for purchases from CFAO Mobility Uganda until December 31, 2024.
