The Independent Uganda: You get the Truth we Pay the Price

Opposition Democratic Party (DP) has today insisted that what killed the Butaleja Woman MP Cerina Nebanda was poison and the truth will soon come out.
Acting Publicity Secretary Kenneth Paul Kakande said “Ninety percent revealed that she died of poison. You cannot say arrest those who say that Nebanda did not die of drugs, they are trying to justify what Kayihura said, what is he covering, Uganda knows Nebanda died of poison” he said during the weekly press conference in Kampala.
Kakande demanded that there is need for thorough investigations and they need an independent investigator to handle the matter.
He referred to the way the government has handled the whole issue right from the arrest of the pathologist and the MPs as unfortunate.
He said that poison is real and mentioned several political figures fear to be poisoned. Kakande said that several people like Betty Nambooze the Mukono North MP, the late Noble Mayombo among others were allegedly poisoned.
DP says that president Museveni should change the manner in which he reacts if he believes there is democracy in Uganda.
“This is natural in the democratic society, we need a president who can listen if not it is not well in Uganda,” he said.
