Kampala, Uganda | THE INDEPENDENT | The 2017 DStv Eutelsat Star Awards competition is back. The awards are open to all learners from secondary or combined schools on the continent where MultiChoice Africa maintains operations.
In the awards seventh edition, the winner of the essay competition will travel to France and see a rocket launch into space and the student who designs the best poster will win a trip for two to South Africa and visit the South African National Space Agency as well as exploration of several heritage sites.
Students can enter the competition by writing an essay or designing a poster based on the sixtieth anniversary since the first satellite, Sputnik, was launched into space. The schools attended by the two winners will also receive a DStv installation, including a dish, TV, decoder and free access to the DStv Education Package.
