The Independent Uganda: You get the Truth we Pay the Price
Kampala, Uganda | THE INDEPENDENT | The Buliisa Farmers Capacity Building Project, initiated by Pure Grow Africa Limited with significant support from McDermott, celebrated the graduation of 1,500 farmers on Aug.30.
The farmers underwent transformational training that encompassed areas such as land and seedling preparation, crop production and care, post-harvest processes, value addition, financial literacy, and enterprise development. Most of the beneficiaries were women and youth.
The program has pioneered a shift in agricultural practices. Trainers believe the farmers will improve their skills and benefit from oil and gas opportunities that are mushrooming daily ahead of oil production in 2025.
