Gulu, Uganda | THE INDEPENDENT | Alfred Oloya, a boda boda rider and resident of Bar Olam village, Pece-Laroo division in Gulu city spent the night in police cells for allegedly defiling his three biological daughters.
David Ongom Mudong, the Aswa River Regional Police Spokesperson says that police picked up Oloya from his home on Wednesday, after his wife lodged a complaint at Gulu City East Police Station accusing him of defiling their daughters.
According to Mudong, the victims’ mother, a businesswoman, says the suspect has been defiling the minors repeatedly between May and November this year in her absence until they narrated their ordeal. The victims are aged 11, 13, and 14 years.
Mudong says police have preferred aggravated defilement charges against the suspect vide CRB 217/2022 at Gulu City East Police Station. He says they are yet to submit the suspect’s file to the Resident State Attorney for sanctioning and subject the victims to medical examination.
