Kasese, Uganda | THE INDEPENDENT | Fire has razed down four dormitories at Bwera Senior Secondary School in Kasese district. Each dormitory was accommodating 30 students. According to a source in the school, there were no casualties as the students were attending preps when the fire broke out on Tuesday night.
The fire destroyed student property including mattresses, clothes, books, shoes, and basins worth millions of Shillings. Edgar Bwambale, a student at the school says that the light in the dormitories went off and after a short while power returned and they instantly heard a blast followed by smoke.
Learners ran out of their classes but couldn’t make it to their dormitories to save properties because of the huge blaze.
