Charles Nangayi, the LC3 chairperson of Bumasobo sub-county says heavy rains started from the forest and suddenly, the volume of water was witnessed increasing from the lower belts.
He says the five bridges of Totia, Natanyo, Kyambo, Monye, and Galusha have all been swept.
“We are currently in a mess and we don’t know where to start from,” said Nangayi.
Michael Webaza, a teacher at Bumasobo Secondary School says that the learners and residents can’t access Buwagadala sub-county because of the destroyed bridges.
“We have school-going children who are currently stranded and they can’t cross to their homes,” Webeza said.
