Fred Enanga appointed as new Deputy Director Interpol

Fred Enanga, who has been police Spokesperson for nearly seven years has been appointed Deputy director Interpol and International Relations of the Uganda Police Force

Kampala, Uganda | THE INDEPENDENT | President Yoweri Museveni has made new police appointments two days after meeting the new Inspector General of Police Abbas Byakagaba.

In the new appointments, Senior Commissioner of Police (SCP) Fred Enanga, who has been police Spokesperson for nearly seven years has been appointed Deputy director Interpol- Uganda.

Enanga, who will deputize Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIGP) Grace Akullo, has been replaced with Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Rusoke Kituuma.

ACP Kituuma has been the Regional Police Commander Rwizi policing region. Kituuma will be deputized by ACP Clare Nabakka who has been deputizing Enanga ever since Commissioner of Police (CP) Polly Namaye went on course at Bwebajja Command and Staff College.

CP James Ruhweza has been appointed deputy to the new director of Operations Services (OPS) SCP Frank Mwesigwa.

Ruhweza is famous for querying Dr Kizza Besigye protest when he was commandant Kampala Metropolitan field operations.

SCP Stephen Tanui who has Kampala Metropolitan Police Commander has been appointed deputy director Fire and Rescue Services. He will deputize AIGP Fadhir Kamali who replaced AIGP Joseph Mugisa, whose contract wasn’t renewed.

CP Sarah Kibwika who has been commandant Professional Standards Unit (PSU) has been appointed Commissioner in charge Human Resources Management (HRM).

Kibwika has been replaced with SCP Christine Nanding who has been serving as deputy director Legal Directorate. By press time more changes were expected to be moved.
