Kampala, Uganda | GODFREY SSALI | Buganda Road Court has set February 26, 2018 which is Monday next week for the fraud trial of Social Commentator Frank Gashumba and his brother Innocent Kasumba.
The two are said to have connived with a Tour and Travel guide Ismail Kiyingi, to impersonate Ministry of defence officials and fradulently obtain money from two Dutch nationals, under pretext of offering them tenders to supply farm equipment to the said Ministry.
Prosecution further alleges that Gashumba and Kasumba were found in possession of narcotics and forged IDs from the Republic of South Sudanese Ministries of Agriculture, Health, Education , Finance and Transport.
Chief Magistrate James Ereemye Mawanda set the trial date after Resident State Attorney Jonathan Muwaganya informed court that investigations in the case are complete.
