Government to sell properties belonging to pensions thieves

The Directorate of Public Prosecutions has moved to the executive division of the High court in Kampala to have the properties of former permanent secretary Jimmy Lwamafa, former principle accountant Christopher Obey and former director for research and development Stephen Kunsa Kiwanuka confiscated. The trio was found guilty of embezzling Shs88bn last year.

The anti Corruption Court in Kololo found that they irregularly budgeted for NSSF, an item the Ministry of Public Service does not budget for and when the money was remitted, they diverted it to personal use.
