Nepal | THE INDEPENDENT | Kenyan climber Cheruiyot Kirui, who was seeking to make history by reaching the summit of Mount Everest without extra-oxygen support, has been found dead after contact was lost with him on May 22.
The Kenyan’s body was found a few meters below the summit point of Mt Everest, according to EVEREST TODAY.
He was on a daring mission to reach the summit without supplementary oxygen and was accompanied by a Nepali climber Nawang Sherpa, whose fate is still unknown.
