Kampala, Uganda | THE INDEPENDENT | ICEA General Insurance has once again been crowned overall winners of the Insurance Gala 2023 edition held at KISU play grounds. ICEA who were also winners of last year’s edition beat over 40 other participants to the top prize.
UAP Old Mutual Insurance emerged the first runner up while Britam Insurance Company took the third position. The gala saw companies competing in different disciplines including athletics, basketball, netball, football and volleyball among others. This was also an opportunity for insurance industry players to loosen up away from their work pressures.
UIA Chief Executive Officer, Jonan Kisakye, commended the insurance companies for taking part in this year’s gala adding that the partnerships are crucial in the association’s quest to grow the Insurance industry.
He also urged Insurance employers to ensure they set aside time for their staff to engage in regular physical fitness exercises as it creates teamwork and boosts productivity.
The Annual Insurance Sports Gala seeks to remind insurance industry service providers that staying fit and healthy is as important as ensuring efficient service delivery to their clients.
