Meanwhile, there was confusion earlier at Mbale Secondary School in Mbale City as the delegates from Bugisu fought over a fake voter’s register which the electoral officials wanted to use during the elections.

Drama ensued after the NRM LCIII Chairperson of Namayonyi sub-county Kamadi Walusansa suspected vote-rigging by the officials who were using a fake register of the Party’s Historical.

There were two lists one from the electoral commission which had 38 members and the other with over 50 members which angered the delegates.

Voting was halted for about ten minutes until the Mbale District Resident Commissioner Suleiman Ogajjo Barasa calmed the angry delegates who accused the officials trying to use a fake list of people to allow non-delegates to vote.
