The High Court will Thursday start hearing the defence case of rally driver Desh Kananura, his brother Raymond Kananura and security guards Samuel Muzolewa, Cyrus Maganda and Jacob Onyango, who are on trial for the alleged murder of an employee Badru Kateregga.
Evidence from 10 witnesses was led by Senior Principal State Attorney Joan Kagezi that stated the accused persons on September 30, 2012, allegedly beat Katerega to death after they found him with sh30,000 that was a tip he was given by a customer.
Kateregga was a bar attendant at Panamera bar and Restaurant, located in the city suburb of Naguru, owned by Desh Kananura.
Presiding Judge Joseph Murangira heard the prosecution case and ruled that all the accused had a murder case to answer, and that they should prepare an explanation for their actions.
