Kyambadde, parliament in showdown over Chinese retailers

VIDEO: Parliament has issued a 14 days ultimatum to Chinese investors dealing in petty business down-town Kampala to vacate their business for violating licensing procedures. But Trade, Industry and Cooperatives Minister Amelia Kyambadde said the committee’s decision is uncalled for, thus asking parliament to extend the deadline given to Chinese in retail trade. Majority foreigners in retail trade are licensed as investors.
