Kampala, Uganda | IAN KATUSIIME | Tracy Akello and Rachael Kemigisha will have a memorable experience as they watch the Formula One Grand Prix live in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
The two are the first ladies among the lucky eight Ugandans who have always been selected to watch the luxurious final race held at the Yas Marina Circuit, now third year in a row.
The latest winners join Raymond Twinemanzi Tumubweinee, Moses Mugumya, Kenneth Onyango, Abasi Balinda and two representatives from Biyinzika Poultry International for the 2018 Formula One grand finale slated for Nov. 25.
City Tyres Marketing Manager, Herbert Bashaasha, said one of Biyinzika’srepresentative was picked to replace an earlier winner, David Masua. Masua is currently pursuing further studies in the UK.
He said the winners will watch the qualification race a day before the finale and will also have a Desert Safari as part of their experience as part of reward to its customers.
City Tyres’ Director, Salman Ahmed, and Italian Deputy Ambassador, Lorenza Gambacorta, picked some of the winners in the event held at the City Tyres head offices in Industrial Area, Kampala on Nov. 16.
Gambacorta said she is now referred to as a ‘tyre queen’ in diplomatic circles because of her frequent appearance at the draw.
Pirelli East African Area Manager, Giovanni Tolasi lauded City Tyres for holding a successful campaign and also commended the authorised distributors of Pirelli Tyres in Uganda for their work ethics.
