Kampala, Uganda | THE INDEPENDENT | Uganda Cranes will make it to their second consecutive Africa Cup of Nations finals with a point against Caper Verde today.
Only heavy consecutive defeats by Cape Verde in their penultimate match and Tanzania, in the group final game, can stop Uganda Cranes from making it to Cameroon. Lesotho host Tanzania in a must-win game for the visitors, if they are to stay in the run for second place in the group.
The best chance of the game came early in the game through Farouk Miya, who shot timidly, when the ball fell on his feet one on one with the keeper.
Miya’s the man who ensured Uganda returned to the Nations Cup after nearly four decades the last time round. He scored a brace as Cranes out-muscled Lesotho Likuena (The Crocodiles) 2-0 at the Setsoto stadium in Maseru Stadium in their last qualifier last month.
