Two early goals by Omari Mwanahamisi and Daniel Donisia gave Tanzania a flying start as they humbled Uganda’s Crested Cranes in the second semifinal of the inaugural CECAFA women’s tournament on Sunday.
Tanzania’s Kilimanjaro Queens marched on to a 4-1 win and will take on tournament favourites Kenya in the final on Tuesday. Uganda’s consolation goal came from Hasifa Nassuna in the dying minutes.
Kenya booked their place in the final by edging Ethiopia 3-2 in the first semifinal in Jinja.
