Kampala, Uganda | THE INDEPENDENT | Uganda Waragi, a product of Uganda Breweries has announced a UGX 30M sponsorship towards Madrat and Chiko’s Nseko Buseko comedy show during which the duo will commemorate their 10th anniversary.
The show is slated for October 8th, 2024 at the Sheraton Kampala Hotel and marks a significant milestone as the duo celebrate 10 years of performing together in the 5th season of the Nseko Buseko show.
Speaking at the anniversary launch held at Sheraton Kampala Hotel, Madrat and Chiko extended their gratitude towards Uganda Waragi for their unwavering support towards Nseko Buseko and the comedy industry at large.
Hillary Baguma the Uganda Breweries Brand Manager Mainstream Spirits, congratulated Madrat and Chiko upon this milestone, making their mark in the industry over the past 10 years.
“As a brand that is firmly rooted in celebration of all things Ugandan with a heritage spanning 59 years, we are thrilled to be part of writing the story of Ugandan comedy and contributing to growth of our creative talent,” he said.
During the launch event, the media fraternity, event partners, and members of the comedy industry were treated to a Uganda Waragi cocktail experience – complete with cocktails made by professional mixologists.
Uganda Waragi has previously sponsored Fun Factory’s weekly Comedicine show at National Theater, Laugh with Owakabi, Salvador’s Africa Laughs; Alex Muhangi’s Comedy among other comedy shows in Uganda.
Tickets are available for the show, with table prices at UGX 3 million, VVIP tickets at UGX 100,000, VIP tickets at UGX 50,000, and ordinary tickets at UGX 30,000.
The Duo will also perform at Colline Hotel in Mukono on 12 th October, Maria Flo in Masaka on 19 th October and Adit Mall Mbarara.
