RABAT, MOROCCO | Xinhua | Moroccan police said on Tuesday they seized 1.448 tons of cocaine at the northern Tangier-Med Port in the Mediterranean.
The banned substance, consisting of 1,277 tablets, was seized in a container from a vessel flying the flag of a European state, coming from a South American port and bound for a Turkish port, the Moroccan police said in a statement.
This was a joint anti-drug operation with Spanish security services, it said, adding that investigations were underway to determine all those involved in the crimes. ■
