President Museveni paid tribute to former President General Tito Okello Lutwa who led the country from July 1985- January 1986.
Museveni attended a memorial service at Lapana village in Kitgum district where he praised Okello saying they had a good working relationship which they used to lay foundations for the next generation. The President laid a wreath on Tito Okello’s grave in honour of his memory and contribution to Uganda and also praised his son, Okello Oryem, Minister of State for International Affairs. The ceremony was attended by Archbishop Stanley Ntagali, Sam Kutesa foreign affairs minister, Dan Kidega, EALA Speaker and Hillary Onek minister for Relief and Disaster Preparedness.
