Kampala, Uganda | THE INDEPENDENT | DP party general Nobert Mao has been dully nominated by the Electoral Commission to contest in the 2021 general elections.
Norbert Mao has called for an end to tribalism in Uganda’s politics. He says that he intends to lead a campaign based on values and vision for Uganda, rather than who he is and where he comes from.
Mao said that for many years, politicians in Uganda have wanted to ride on their tribal, religious and ethnic backgrounds as vehicles to leadership, while at the same time wrecking the country.
Mao also explained the delay in submitting his signatures for verification, saying that it was partly because of the party’s delayed delegates conference.
