Dodoma, Tanzania | THE INDEPENDENT | MP Condester Michael Sichlwe, 31 was thrown out of Tanzania’s parliament Tuesday, wearing ‘tight-fitting trousers’, referred to locally as ‘suruali iliyombana’. After another CCM party MP Hussein Amar sought guidance on the dressing code, Speaker of Parliament Job Ndugai threw her out for wearing ‘non-parliamentary attire’. Photographs shared on social media by journalist Haki Ngowi showed some MPs amused by the incident, while others looked truly shocked by the ‘non-parliamentary attire’.
