PICTORIAL: President Yoweri Museveni hosted the Uganda national football team Cranes to a luncheon on Thursday at State House Entebbe to congratulate them upon qualifying for the African Cup Of Nations.
“I promise to supplement your allowances and bonuses. I however appeal to you to be good ambassadors of Uganda. You should know that while sports promotes fitness, entertainment and character building, it also promotes the country,” Museveni said, before showing them his football skills.
Museveni concluded by wishing the team well in Saturday’s upcoming fixture with Congo Brazzaville in the FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
The team was led by Sports minister Janet Museveni and FUFA president Moses Magogo.
