Lilongwe, Malawi | THE INDEPENDENT A military plane carrying Malawi’s Vice President Saulos Chilima is missing, and contact with the aircraft has so far not been successful, hours after it was to have landed.
According to the office of the President the Malawi Defence Force aircraft left Lilongwe today, Monday, June 10, 2024, at 0917 hours carrying Vice President e Dr. Saulos Klaus Chilima and nine others.
It failed to make a scheduled landing at Mzuzu International Airport at 10:02. All efforts by aviation authorities to make contact with the aircraft since it went off the radar have failed thus far, the government said.
