Wakiso, Uganda | THE INDEPENDENT | Preparations to send off Bulaimu Muwanga Kibirige, popularly known as BMK are in high gear at the Salaam Muslim Cemetery at Nkoowe, approximately 13 miles on Hoima road in Wakiso district.
The fallen businessman will be laid to rest at the cemetery on Sunday at 10:30 am, according to Balaam Barugahara who is overseeing the burial preparations alongside city businessman Mansur Matovu commonly known as Yanga.
According to Barugahara, the event to lay BMK to rest will be preceded by a series of events, notably a prayer event at his Hotel Africana parking tomorrow morning.
URN visited the cemetery and found three huge tents supplied by events company Fotogenix being erected and BMK’s final resting place which was fenced off from the main cemetery being cleared of the bushy grass.
According to Sheikh Yunus Kambugu one of the cemetery caretakers, will to be buried at the cemetery where his mother and daughter Sarah Muwanga are already buried.
BMK breathed his last Friday after after a seven-year battle with cancer, in a Nairobi hospital.
He is survived by 18 children and two widows.
