VIDEO: Public universities strike, Finance Ministry calls for calm

NBS: A solution to the ongoing strike by the non teaching staff at public universities is not coming soon with government saying the worker’s arrears are not ready due to limited finances within the Treasury.
The ministry of Finance spokesperson Jim Mugunga says while the president’s pledge of 28.5 billion shillings was catered for in the financial year, the money that is expected to cater for arrears will be collected in the course of the financial year.
