Dakar, Senegal | QNA | The Senegal Football Federation has officially announced the absence of the Senegalese national team and Bayern Munich German striker Sadio Mane from the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, due to injury.
In a video posted by the Senegalese Federation on its website, stated that Mane would not participate with the team in the World Cup.
Mane suffered a leg injury during Bayern Munich’s game against SV Werder Bremen in the 14th round of the Bundesliga, which was won by Bayern Munich 6-1.

Senegal will participates in the World Cup in the first group, along with Qatar, Ecuador and the Netherlands.
The Senegalese national team will begin their campaign in the tournament on next Monday, by facing their Dutch counterparts at Al Thumama Stadium.
