Shs700million needed for Martyrs day
Kampala, Uganda | THE INDEPENDENT | As June 03 when Uganda marks Martyrs day fast approaches, the church is in a drive to rise about 720million needed to organize the event.
Revealing this, Archbishop Emmanuel Obbo, of the Tororo Catholic Archdiocese which is heaidn this year’s celebrations at the Catholic Martyrs Shrine in Namugongo said they are organizing a fundraising dinner on May 17 to raise money for the event.
The Archdiocese has also organized a walk of faith from Munyonyo Matia Mulumba Catholic Church on May 12 which will be followed by a 9 day Novena prayer at the Namugongo Martyrs Shrine beginning on May 29.
The Archdiocese of Tororo comprises of the Dioceses of Jinja, Moroto, Soroti, Kotido, and Tororo districts.
