Stanbic Bank Golf Challenge Round 1 swings into action

Entebbe, Uganda | THE INDEPENDENT |  The nail-biting Stanbic Bank Golf Match-Play Challenge Round 1 swings into action Saturday at the Lakeside Entebbe Golf Club with a total of 32 matches in action.

Four all Lady golf pairs will be vying to advance to the next slot with one couple pair in the mix at the 18 hole  par 71 course, according to a press statement from the club. This is season 8 of this thrilling match-play competition that started in 2017, boosted then by Uganda Breweries Limited, under there luxury brand Singleton.

Match 12 will see Dr Twino Twinemanzi and Robbins Mweheire taking Dr Dean Kateba and Raymond Ekwamu, there is an all ladies clash in Match 4 with Lillian Koowe and Joyce Kisembo taking on Ruth Mugisha and Berna Musanabera. Match 5 has a couple pair of Ellis Katwebaze and Evelyn Atukunda taking on Stephen Magero and Counsel Akena Lony, Match 6 sees Peace Kabasweka and Harriet Kitaka taking on Alex Nkuyahaga and Jude Ochieng.

The other sponsors of this tournament are Uganda Airlines, who will be flying the 1,2 and 3 winners to destinations in East Africa while DSTV Business, will be offering various prizes plus the trophies of various winnera.

CFAO Motors, will be offering various prizes and a Brand new Car for an Ace on the final hole, while Uganda Breweries Limited will offer alcoholic beverages , Crown Beverages offer refreshments and water on the course throughout the tournament.
