Namayingo, Uganda | THE INDEPENDENT | The National Resistance Movement-NRM registrar, Tanga Odoi has intervened in wrangles involving Namayingo District NRM party leaders.
Led by the Namayingo District Woman MP, Margret Namakangala, the leaders allege that their district party chairperson Raymond Mukisa used his position to influence the final results of last term’s NRM primaries, however, no action was taken against him.
Namakangala argues that it is prudent for their national secretariat to solve the differences, which sparked off chaotic scenes during last term’s party primaries.
Mukisa argues that his accusers who are seemingly party strongholds use their authority to suppress dissenting voices.
Tanga Odoi has pitched a camp in Namayingo district, to hold harmonization meetings with all parties harboring grievances about the NRM operations.
Tanga notes that the leaders are having misunderstandings, which will be amicably solved through constructive dialoguing.
