THIS WEEK: Opposition announces new cabinet
Kampala, Uganda | THE INDEPENDENT | Leader of Opposition in parliament Betty Aol Ochan announced on Nov.29 a new cabinet comprising of members of Forum for Democratic Change (FDC), Democratic Party and Independents.
“It has been a question. They have been asking me whether I will keep this cabinet since I took over from colleague Winnie Kizza”, she said announcing that she had dropped 6 MPs – Micheal Kabaziguruka, Robert Franco Centenary, Gilbert Olanya,Edmund Ariko, Lucy Akello, and Moses Kasibante.
Now, the new consists of 31 shadow cabinet ministers. Shadow Attorney General is Wilfred Nuwagaba, Medard Seggona is incharge of Justice and constitutional Affairs, Zaake Francis for East African Affairs, Lutamaguzi Semakula is incharge of lands housing and urban development and Muwanga Kivumbi is in charge of Internal Affairs. Local Government has been handed to Betty Muzanira whereas Betty Nambooze Bakireke is for Kampala City Council Authority. Anne Adeke retained the Youth and Children Affairs post.
