Kampala, Uganda | THE INDEPENDENT | Three people are in police custody in connection to the death of Corporal Wilson Ssenja, the Officer in Charge of Lwemwedde police post in Masuliita sub-county in Wakiso district.
Luke Oweyesigyire, the Deputy Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson says that they received information from Lwemwedde police post this morning indicating that their OC had been killed.
According to Oweyesigyire, they dispatched a team of officers from Kakiri police station with sniffer dogs to conduct investigations and they managed to arrest three suspects.
He says that Ssenja had returned home from work when he was lynched by the assailants.
Godfrey Kakembo, the chairman of Lwemwedde village says that he last saw Ssenja at night when he was going to buy a piece of chicken.
