TODAY: Emergency plant shutdown at Katosi water works

Mukono, Uganda | THE INDEPENDENT | Water supplyto Mukono, Seeta, Parts of Namugongo, Kyaliwajjala, Kira, Nsasa, Bulindo, Sonde, parts of Mutungo, Bukoto, Naguru and Ntinda will from 6am to 7pm today be affected by work at the Katosi water plant.

“The Management of National Water and Sewerage Corporation wishes to inform its valued customers and the general public that there will be interruptions in water supply tomorrow Tuesday 13th December, 2022 from 7am to 6pm,” NWSC said in a statement.

The shutdown NWSC said, is to “allow Contractor Sogea Satom handle emergency works at the plant intake pumping station.”

“Customers are therefore advised  to store water and use it sparingly as it takes time for the system to stabilize after a total plant shutdown.”
