Kampala, Uganda | THE INDEPENDENT | Tunga Nutrition, a leading provider of animal nutrition solutions, has announced the expansion of its operations with the opening of a new depot in Mukono, Uganda.
Situated strategically to cater to the growing livestock population in the region, the Mukono depot will stock a comprehensive range of Tunga Nutrition’s products, encompassing animal feeds, supplements, and premixes. Farmers will also benefit from the expertise of Tunga Nutrition’s team of dedicated professionals, who will provide tailored technical support.
“The establishment of our new depot in Mukono marks a significant milestone in our journey to empower farmers with the resources they need to thrive,” remarked Toochukwu Chido the general manager of Tunga Nutrition.
“By providing seamless access to our high-quality products and guidance, we aim to foster improved livestock health and productivity, ultimately contributing to the growth and sustainability of Uganda’s livestock sector,”
Pieter Bastiaanssen the chairman board of Tunga Nutrition said that for a long time, they had been importing animal feeds but later realised this was not viable and they decided to start making good quality affordable feeds.
“Uganda can play a big role in the manufacture of animal feeds in East Africa because it has the potential with its fertile soils,”
He also added that more depots will be established all around the country for easy accessibility.
“We aim to provide better affordable feeds for farmers. We have even reduced the price by 15%,” he added.
This expansion he said, underscores Tunga Nutrition’s commitment to supporting the growth of Uganda’s livestock sector. The company has a longstanding reputation for collaborating closely with farmers to develop customized nutrition solutions tailored to the specific needs of their animals.
