Kampala, Uganda | THE INDEPENDENT | Two policemen have been killed in a robbery in Kampala by unknown gunmen. The driver of the car the robbers targeted along Gayaza road in Kalerwe, just outside the city centre, is also reported dead.
Reports Saturday night indicate armed men attempted to rob cashiers of a Kampala bakery who were transporting money from several sale points.
Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson Emilian Kayima confirmed the incident, saying “A few minutes past 9:00pm today, workers of Denovo Bread Company were attacked by gunmen who “shot and killed two of our police officers – SPC Mubiru and SPC Moses Karungi.”
