Kampala, Uganda | GODFREY SSALI | Two suspected armed robbers were Thursday shot dead after a reported attempted robbery in Bweyogerere, Police has said.
Police confirmed they had shot the two men who they said attacked and attempted to slice the throat of a business woman identified as Agaba Josephine Rwabyona in her office.

Kampala Metropolitan Police commander Frank Mwesigwa noted that the thugs armed with SMG later hijacked a vehicle and a motor bike at a nearby washing bay.
When notified, police pursued the thugs up to Namanve industrial park where they were shot dead.
“Luckily enough, police was informed and they were followed as they headed towards Jokas. Due to jam ,they abandoned the vehicle and hijacked a motorcycle from the owner at gunpoint but our officers pursued them and put them out of action at industrial park Namanve during cross fire exchange,” Uganda Police said in a statement.
Their bodies have been taken to Mulago mortuary while the victim is receiving treatment at the same hospital.
