Mbarara, Uganda | THE INDEPENDENT | The Alliance for National Transformation (ANT) is focusing on attracting leaders with value to secure the country’s future, the party president Major General Mugisha Muntu has revealed.
Addressing ANT coordinators and former party candidates in Ankole region Adit Mall in Mbarara city on Tuesday, Muntu said they are continuing with their mobilization of people at the grass-roots with intentions of building an organisation whose members believe in what their leaders say and talk.
According to Muntu, the country cannot depend on an individual but can only be secure when the majority of the leaders are valuable and share the same state of mind of being fair, just, transparent and democratic.
He said that after their nationwide review meetings ANT will focus on doing everything humanly possible to replicate the party values across generations.
The ANT party Ankole co-coordinator, Daniel Kafureeka tasked the party leaders to ensure the mobilization and sensitization of the masses as they prepare for the 2021-2026 general elections.
The Alliance for National Transformation party didn’t win a single seat in Ankole despite fielding over 50 candidates.
