Bunagana border post has been re-opened following one month of closure.
The border was temporarily closed in mid-November to stop the M23 rebels from getting revenue which they were collecting from trucks ferrying goods through the rebel-held territory in the eastern part of the expansive Democratic Republic of Congo.
But the same closure by the Ugandan authorities came at the height of the UN Report which pinned Rwanda and Uganda of supporting the M23 rebels.
Local authorities say the closure of the border denied access to many traders who use the route to buy food and other merchandise.
