The government I.T agency will be spearheading a number of engagements with key stakeholders aimed at uplifting the standards of BPO industry in Uganda basing on the proposed standards.

The BPO programme in Uganda is premised on the strategic objectives of Government which emphasize the use of ICT to create jobs and improve livelihoods in order to reduce poverty in the country.

The other objectives include; increase in government revenue, increase in investment in infrastructure and skills development among others. The proposed guidelines cover all these areas.
