This morning, Umeme, the sole electricity provider launched a promotion to reward customers who have paid their power bills promptly. The promotion dubbed Hero at Zero begins today and will run for 90 days.
Mrs. Florence Nsubuga Chief Operations Officer said “The promotion is aimed at reaching out to our customers by recognising and appreciating the effort to clear their bills to zero. We recognise that our customers have many priorities at this time of the year.”
The promotion is to encourage consumers to make electricity payment top priority in the ongoing back to school period. ‘
All customers will automatically be entered into the draw by virtual of being customers and paying their bills. The draws will be on a monthly basis while data extraction will be on a daily basis.
The prizes will be in form of electricity bill credits, medical insurance and school fees. There will also be associated hampers from Him a Cement, Tororo Cement and Mukwano Group of Companies.
