Entebbe, Uganda | THE INDEPENDENT | A huge field of 200 golfers is expected this Saturday at the I & M Bank sponsored Katogo Invitational at the par 71, Lakeside Entebbe Club.
“We are glad to be hosting this invitational and we are expecting a huge field on the day,” Hannington Mpiima, the Captain of Katogo Club said. “The format is different and we expect golfers to enjoy this mode of play.”
The format of play is “Me Too”. The idea is that you can ditch your less than desirable tee shot for someone else’s in your group on any hole, the limit though is 9 holes.
After all players have played their tee shots, if you don’t like your tee shot. Just call “Me Too” and choose any other player’s tee shot position. Move your ball to that position and play your next shot from there. However you must choose wisely when to use a “Me Too” because you can only use the “Me Too” option on 9 holes during the round.
There will be a Brand New Renault staked on Hole 10 during the tournament, according to a press statement from the club.
The event is sponsored by I & M Bank, RwanAir, GA Insurance Uganda, Renault Uganda, NBS Sport and Fenon Events.
